Sessions are 55 minutes and may take place in my cozy Fisher’s Office, virtually from the comfort of your own home, or while walking on the Nickel Plate Trail. The experience of therapy will be different for everyone. I am a firm believer that we all grow and heal in ways unique to our personalities and world view. You can expect your experience at Evergreen to be specific to your goals, needs, and preferences!

This is totally up to you! Some clients prefer to engage in a more solution focused, short-term style of therapy that could last a couple of months while others find benefit in having a long term therapeutic relationship to provide support with ongoing challenges. In either case, it is important to expect that building a therapeutic relationship will take some time just like any other relationship.

I do not take insurance for multiple reasons. Insurance companies place restrictions and requirements on therapeutic services that may not be in the client’s best interest. First, insurance companies require that clients be diagnosed with a mental health disorder that will remain on their permanent medical record in order to receive covered care. While this can be appropriate and helpful for some clients, not all who seek therapy have a mental health disorder. Secondly, insurance companies limit the kind of therapy and interventions we are allowed to use in session. This restricts our ability to collaboratively decide on treatment options and, instead, places it in the hands of a third party.

I accept all major credit cards as well as HSA payment. A charge will be made to your account on file electronically after the completion of each session. Superbills can be provided upon request for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

That’s okay! I am happy to move appointments around based on availability. Please reach out to reschedule or cancel an appointment at least 24 hours ahead of the scheduled meeting time; you will be charged for the full cost of the session if you do not provide a 24 hour notice.
